They spent centuries as hunting companions, and as status symbols for royalty in Asia, Pakistan, and India. They are nible dogs weighing only 50-60 pounds. In the 1970’s, Mattel created a Barbie Doll pet ~ an Afghan Hound ~ called Beauty!
