Owning a dog is not just a privilege; it’s a responsibility.

They depend on us for, at minimum, food and shelter, and deserve much more. When you take a dog into your life, you need to understand the commitment that dog ownership entails. ~ AKC

Save a Life, Adopt a Dog

Estimates show that about 6.5 million pets enter animal shelters every year. Adopting a dog from an animal shelter or rescue organization has many benefits. You’re saving a dog’s life and opening up a spot in the shelter for another dog. You can adopt any kind of dog (puppy or adult, male or female, and purebred or mixed breed). And you can also meet many different dogs to decide which works best in your family. Rescue dogs are less expensive than dogs from breeders, and by adopting, you’re taking business away from puppy mills. Before buying a dog, do research to see if you can find the right fit in a rescue organization or shelter. Your perfect family companion could be waiting for you!
