Carl Sandburg (January 6, 1878 – July 22, 1967) was an American poet, biographer, journalist, and editor, who received 3 pulitzer prizes.
As far as we know, Mr. Sandburg did not own a cat, but created a very famous poem about one, entitled “Fog“.
