CAT: The English word cat dates back centuries. It’s roots are in the Latin cattus which is purported to be from Africa, in the Berber word kaddiska and the Nubian word kadis…all of which have the same meaning “cat.” The various European words for cat are similar: French-chat; German-Katze; Italian-gatto, Spanish-gato; Swedish-katt; and Dutch-kat.

Domestic Short Hair Cats are a mix of many different breeds and come in a variety of shapes, sizes, and personalities. They are generally playful, quiet and affectionate.

Domestic Long Hair Cats are the same breed as Domestic Short Hair Cats. The length of coat distinguishes one from the other. There are domestic medium hair cats as well as hairless/hypoallergic cats. Each and every one has its own separate purrsonality.

People who love cats have some of the biggest hearts around.
