
I wander lonely as a stray
That travels on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the gazebo, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

The first stanza of this poem is written similar to the William Wordsworth poem: “I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud“. The word “stray” was used to emphasize the loneliness of all stray cats. ![]()
