Edgar Allan Poe

Edgar Allan Poe was a cat lover.

Edgar Allan Poe and his wife, Virginia, had a beloved tortoiseshell cat named Catterina who used to sit on Poe’s shoulder while he wrote. It has been reported that Catterina slept on Virginia Poe’s chest to keep her warm while she suffered from TB.

One of his scariest stories that Edgar Allan Poe wrote is entitled The Black Cat, written in 1845.

I wish I could write as mysterious as a cat.
